Job Summary

We are hiring a freelance Senior Producer to cover a 6-month maternity leave. In this leadership role, you’ll manage a high volume of photo and video productions from start to finish. You’ll collaborate closely with our internal team and freelancers, serve as the client-facing lead, and ensure projects run smoothly, on time, and on budget.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production for advertising, editorial, and branded content shoots

  • Own timelines, budgets, call sheets, and all production logistics

  • Coordinate with crew including photographers, stylists, HMU, assistants, and freelancers

  • Serve as the primary client contact during production

  • Negotiate rates with vendors and freelance talent

  • Reconcile shoot-related expenses and manage wrap processes

  • Collaborate with Slate’s internal producers and Creative Director

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience producing high-end photo and/or motion shoots

  • Strong client communication and team leadership skills

  • Proven experience managing budgets and negotiating vendor rates

  • Able to handle multiple overlapping productions

  • Familiarity with production tools like Salesforce, QuickBooks Online, Google Workspace, Airtable, and Asana

  • NYC-based or available for in-person production days preferred

Compensation

Rate is commensurate with experience.
